The maximum amount of soldiers you can have on the field is 5, the maximum you may have in your "inventory" is 7. To do so you collect money from completing missions, and invest this money in training and equipment for you soldiers. You start with a bit of cash and 2 soldiers, your task is to defeat terrorists. There is an ingame shop which doesn't work (dunno about the Xbox version). The PC version is strictly single player and out of development, but by chance i found that Steam offers an Xbox version which is still developed. I personally didn't try Hidden Object and Puzzle - and i didn't find Match 3 inspiring. Genres, but they also offer games from other genres.īeware that they also offer online games - just watch for when reading game descriptions.įor most games a teaser/intruductory video is offered, but sometimes there are only screenshots (i guess for the oldest games in their inventory). Hidden Object / Adventure (the only ones i know are and from the past) They offer lots of games - with the majority coming from Since i'm mostly offline, i just and clear the browser cache before going online. Games, a browser tab is opened (respectively launched if browser not running) - i guess to give the site some feedback. Gametop aquires licences from abandonded games and some developers share permission to add their games, allowing free download.Ī small annoyance is, that gametop adds code to the exe files, so that Often when I exit the game it overwrites the changed file, so I keep one handy and copy it to the game dir everytime I start the game.Over the past 3 years i was trying out games from Locate your prefs.cfg (it's in the same folder as the MCX.exe), open it and add "l Resolution=3" without the quotes before "FITend" at the bottom. Having the same problem, really want to get my hands on those pre-installed campaigns.Īlso, incase anyone did'nt know, there is a simple hack to get higher screen resolution in MCG (1280x1024 I think it is).
So unfortunately, I still don't have a way to install the fan campaigns.
The MCG installer itself doesn't work with 64 bit systems. I'm still unable to create a registry key for mechcommander because I only own the 64 bit version of both 7 and XP, so I can't even emulate XP to install it. Hopefully that sorts out your original mechcommander problems. Check both the 'Run this program as an administrator' box towards the bottom, and the 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' at the top with 'Windows 98 / Windows ME' chosen from the drop box.
exe name was, but if you're having issues running it still, right click the exe file used to run the game (MCX.EXE for Gold) and go into properties->Compatibility. My suggestion would be to (if you're running 64-bit windows) put in into Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Games/MechCommanderGold and just dump all the files in there. Yea, for the MechCommander (or Gold) game you need to open up the disc and view the files, then just copy all the files on the disc into a folder. Thats what I did to get it working on win7 64. Try copying all the files on the CD over to a folder on your hard drive. ^^ I also like the way MCG plays much better over MC2.Įdited by Mautty the Bobcat, 21 February 2012 - 08:42 PM. It would be awesome to be able to play these, as I've played the original MCG campaigns 10+ times overs.
This is full installed MCG game with Xenocide campaign (Shadowcat) instead of original and Bengal Lancers campaign (Akula) instead of expansion campaign. This is full installed MCG game with X-Ray campaign (DSC X-Ray company) instead of original and DSC Raid campaign (Wolfcross) instead of expansion campaign. You still need original CD or mounted image to play the game. This is full installed MCG game with Exodus campaign (magic) instead of original and Turncoat campaign (Lou Hobbs) instead of expansion campaign.
